Webhooks and forms
Receive data from other systems and people: test and production URLs, responses and hosted forms.
Webhook trigger
A Webhook gives your workflow a URL that other systems can call.
- Test URL (
…/webhook-test/<path>): click Listen for test event, send one request, and the editor runs with it. - Production URL (
…/webhook/<path>): works while the workflow is active.
Choose the HTTP method and when to answer:
| Respond | The caller gets |
|---|---|
| Immediately | 202 with the execution ID, straight away |
| When workflow finishes | the last node's output, with the status code you choose |
| Using 'Respond to Webhook' node | whatever that node sends, as soon as the workflow reaches it |
The request's body, query, headers and method are available as the trigger's output, for example {{ $json.body.email }}.
Forms
The Form Trigger hosts a form for you, so people can submit data without any other tool.
- Set the form title, description, fields and the submit button text.
- After submitting, show a message or send the person to a web address.
- Use Open test form while building; the production form (
…/form/<path>) works while the workflow is active.
Event webhooks from Triggerflow
To send Triggerflow's own events (audit events, finished runs) to your systems, see Audit log and monitoring.
